Ivrea Orange carnival is an unique event where the whole town turns into an orange battle ground for four days. Each neighborhood in Ivrea supports two teams who throw oranges at each others. One of the neighborhood team is composed of soldiers on a carriage. They travel around the city to throw oranges. The battles happen in all over the city. Ground team throwing organges to the soldiersand vice-versa. Tourists throwing oranges as well. The whole town smells orange.
We are in Italy, at every corner of the street, there are food stands and free distribution of hot wine "Vino Caldo". The town is full of people, you can easily loose site of your friends in the orange mud.
